Lucky-doh

The kids in Keira & Anika's classes at school are going to be so lucky to receive some handmade "Lucky-doh" in celebration of St. Patrick's Day this year.

As requested, here is the info to make your own.

First, save this picture and then print on cardstock.
Next make some Play-doh:

1 1/4 c. White Flour
1/4 c. Salt
1 pkg Koolaid powder
Mix together, then add
1 cup Boiling Water
1.5 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Spread some flour out on your table and Knead it until it looks nice and isn't sticky (add more flour if necessary).

After it cools we took a handful of Play-doh and stuck it in really small Ziploc-type bags we got at Dollarama. Use a hole punch to punch two holes at the top of the bag and the card. String some ribbon through and tie in a cute bow.

I bought some little Ziploc-type baggies at Dollarama, hole punch the top and tie a ribbon.

Homemade Cleaner...ooo It Smells So Nice In HereL

I hate buying cleaners. I also worry that one of my very curious children that gets into ev-er-ry-thing will one day discover the cleaning cupboard and decide to have a little snack. So I've decided - NO MORE COMMERCIAL CLEANERS.

My solution - Homemade Nice Smelly Stuff - and a bonus - it WORKS! And here is my secret recipe.

3 cups hot water
1 tbsp Borax
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil (Of course any good smelly essential oil would work. In fact the Lavender might put you to sleep...maybe something Orangy to perk you up? lol)

Mixy Mixy and pour into a spray bottle.
